Kevin Floyd runs operations for Underbelly Hospitality, managing some of Houston’s most respected restaurants and bars: Hay Merchant, Underbelly, One Fifth and Blacksmith, along with new 2018 concepts UB Preserv and Georgia James.
One of Texas’ leading beer experts, he opened craft beer bar Hay Merchant in 2012 with 80 highly-curated beers with a custom tap system he designed.
Kevin and former business partner Bobby Heugel opened their first venture, Anvil Bar & Refuge, in 2009, which was also recognized nationally for its beer selections, as well as its renowned cocktail program.
In addition to an extensive knowledge of brew, Kevin brings operations expertise to the table, having worked previously as a manager of Logan's Roadhouse, opening 25 restaurants throughout the Midwest.
Kevin is a founding board member of the Southern Smoke Foundation, which has donated nearly $1 million to both the National MS Society and to those in the food and beverage industry affected by Hurricane Harvey.
