2nd Annual Southern Smoke Spring: A Boy, A Girl and a Goat and One Hell of an After Party

Tickets On Sale NOW

It's the second annual Southern Smoke Spring, and instead of hosting multiple events during the course of a week, we're hosting multiple events during the course of one very celebratory night!

All events take place at The Revaire (7122 Old Katy Rd) on Saturday, March 28.

A Boy, A Girl, and A Goat Dinner
6-9pm
$500 per person (ticket includes access to the after party)

James Beard Award-winning Chef Stephanie Izard will join fellow Lexus Chef Chris Shepherd to prepare a dinner featuring their mutually-loved ingredient, the goat. Winner of Top Chef Season 4, Stephanie is the master of all things goat at her four Chicago restaurants Girl & the Goat, Little Goat Diner, Duck Duck Goat and Cabra. Chris' signature dish, Korean Braised Goat and Dumplings, went national when he cooked them on Jimmy Kimmel Live in December.

If goat isn't your thing, don't let that deter you (although with these two chefs, you know it's delicious)! There will be plenty of food for all in this multi-course family-style dinner with wine selections by Heitz Cellars. Dietary restrictions can be accommodated with advance notice.

Caribbean Carnival After Party
9pm-midnight
$200 per person

After dinner, we'll really get this party started with the Caribbean beats of our Afro Colombian musical guests, Tribu Baharú. The Underbelly Hospitality team will be serving up late-night whole hog tacos, and Shake Shack will be slinging burgers and bacon sausage hot dogs to keep guests fueled on the dance floor.

$20,000 and $15,000 table sponsors and $2,000 individual sponsors have access to a Ruinart Champagne and Caviar room during the after party.

The Cause

Chris Shepherd's Southern Smoke Foundation has donated to food and beverage industry professionals in crisis and to charities like the MS Society, the Gulf Seafood Foundation and Legacy Community Health.

After Hurricane Harvey, Chris and his team realized a need within their own community. Many people in the food and beverage industry don't have a safety net in times of crisis. Many live paycheck to paycheck. A hurricane, a car accident, a medical procedure, a diagnosis-many industry professionals don't have the means to handle additional financial burdens. So the Southern Smoke Emergency Relief Fund was born.

More than 175 individuals nationwide have received assistance from Southern Smoke. The organization receives applications year-round, so we recognized the need to raise funds year-round. Southern Smoke Spring was born to meet that need.

More about Stephanie Izard

Stephanie Izard, James Beard “Best Chef: Great Lakes” recipient 2013, and 2011 Food & Wine “Best New Chef,” is the Executive Chef/Partner of four Chicago restaurants, Girl & the Goat, Little Goat, Duck Duck Goat and Cabra along with the forthcoming Girl & the Goat LA. A 2011 James Beard “Best New Restaurant” nominee, Girl & the Goat has been praised by high-profile publications such as Saveur, New York Times, Food & Wine, Better Homes and Gardens and others.
